Dimmeys - Richmond

With its arching window frames and old clock tower, Dimmeys Bargain Store in Richmond is one of the city’s best examples of heritage architecture. Built in 1878 as a textile fabrics store, it evolved to become a one-stop shop for quality goods and then a bargain store. Sold to a developer for $16m in 2008, it has since re-opened as a state-of-the-art supermarket.
